Welcome to the Olathe Junior Tennis Program's Website!!!
With the tremendous support of the Olathe Public Schools, the Purpose of our Summer Tennis Program is to provide the kids in our district/ community with an opportunity to compete and play tennis better.
This program's primary purpose is to provide Match/ Playing experience. This is a Beginner to Novice Level League Team that requires some basic understanding and skill to start and play out points. NO playing experience is required prior to joining our team, but it is vital to know that in order to play in a league match, players must be able to exhibit a consistent ability to get serves "in" and be able to properly score and rotate between points. Our Staff will not put athletes into matches until they can demonstrate these essential tennis skills/ knowledge. Do you know any boys and/ or girls between the ages of 7-18, that would be interested in playing Beginner to Novice -level tennis this Summer? If you do please read on or pass on this information to someone who might be interested in joining our team as we play in the Kansas City Junior Tennis League (KCJTL).

Here is some of the Basic information families will want to know:
-6 weeks of Matches and one practice/ week in June and ending in early/ mid-July. The team's fee also includes a optional participation in a 7th week. That 7th week is the annual KCJTL Post-Season Tournament.
-Each player will be charged *$170.00 (covers all of the following: Regular Season League Fee + Post-season Tourney too (still optional), Match fees, Insurance, Instruction and a Team T-shirt during those 6 weeks of the league) Registration opens March 4th (see info below). *We will send you a Welcome to the Team email once payment and registration have been received.
-Practices & Matches will take place at Olathe Northwest HS and/or CBAC (District tennis complex west of ONWHS)
-Matches and Practice will take place in the afternoon (which keeps the mornings & evenings open for your other activities).
-Kids will be split up based on age/ ability
-10 and under – 60 ft (smaller) court (using the orange dot ball)
-12 and under – full court (using the green dot ball)
-13 and over – full court (using the yellow ball)
*Registration opens March 4th and will stay open until there are 16 kids per gender & age-group…or May 6th comes and ends the registration window.
